Location
Situated to the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, Portugal is proud of its reputation as a calm and peaceful land with hospitable people and gentle way of life. The Algarve is the most southern province of this country – a coastal region with a marked tourist influence. Indeed, its 200 km of beautiful beaches, its average year-round temperatures of 17.5 ºC and its 3,065 hours of sunshine throughout the year make it a favourite destination with tourists from around the world.

At the eastern end of the Algarve, on the banks of the Guadiana River, which traces a natural border with neighbouring Spain, we find the town of Castro Marim and the Quinta do Vale Golf Resort.

Due to its privileged location, there are various possibilities of how to get there.

To travel by air, the district capital of Faro has an international airport which can be reached by a 3-hour flight from most European capitals. The modern road network (IP1; A22; International Guadiana Bridge) means that the cities of Seville and Lisbon are just 2 hours’ drive away along virtually traffic-free motorways, even at peak holiday times. The Algarve is also linked to the European network of railways and its many ports and marinas make it easily accessible by sea.
